Adrie Stoete-Schuiteman was born in Harderwijk, The Netherlands and grew up in Amsterdam. She moved to Heerlen, Amersfoort and nowadays Huissen, near Arnhem where she runs a bookstore together with a postoffice.
Her other interests are painting, decorating her house, walking in the woods, and working in her garden. She has three grown children; a girl, Femke, and two boys, Hjalmar and Eltjo.
